A centrifugal fan is the most widely used low-pressure centrifugal gas conveying equipment and the basic component of industrial and civil ventilation systems. Its core functions include air delivery, ventilation, air exchange, dust removal and exhaust. Among the three types of centrifugal gas equipment, it features the lowest pressure and the simplest structure.


Driven by a motor, the impeller rotates at high speed to generate centrifugal force, pushing gas toward the outer casing and converting kinetic energy into static pressure energy. Meanwhile, negative pressure forms at the impeller center to sustain air intake, achieving continuous airflow delivery. It has a streamlined overall structure, mainly composed of an impeller, volute, air inlet and drive motor. Mostly equipped with a single-stage impeller, it requires no complex sealing or cooling systems and allows easy installation and maintenance.


It delivers low pressure with large flow capacity. The standard outlet air pressure is ≤ 15 kPa with an extremely low compression ratio, meaning the gas is barely compressed during operation. It runs with low noise, slight vibration and low energy consumption, supports frequent start-stop operation, and adapts to gas environments containing a small amount of dust.


It covers a wide range of application scenarios: for civil use, it applies to central air conditioning air supply and building ventilation; for industrial use, it serves workshop air exchange, mine ventilation, boiler induced draft, grain storage ventilation, industrial waste gas discharge and more. It is a highly versatile fundamental fluid machinery.
